PE Days

Key Dates
Monday 3rd November - Back to school!
Notices
Your children will be bringing their pencil cases home this week. Thank you to all who have streamlined them this half term, the children have been much more efficient as a result! Please take some time to check your child's handwriting pen - several are running low on ink which is having an impact on presentation. If you can, please avoid friction pens. Although they are able to be rubbed out, the result often leaves marks across the page and the children's writing can be difficult to decipher as a result.
Please take note of the change in PE days for the second half of the term. Now that swimming is finished we will go back to Friday PE sessions with Miss Fownes.

English: 20 minutes daily reading. When you have finished your book, please complete one of the Blooms questions at the back of your Reading Record. Remember to answer in a way that proves your knowledge of the story, and highlight the question on the sheet. Please use half term to make a good start on your Autumn Reading Challenge activities.

Maths: Take a break from your Mental Maths Book and play some games over half term that test your multiplication and division skills ready to carry on our new unit in November.

Class Reader

In class we have started reading 'Running on the Roof of the World' written by Jess Butterworth.
Ask your child: How do the rules that Tash and Sam must follow (e.g., not running in front of soldiers, not speaking to them, avoiding eye contact) affect their behavior and choices in the early chapters of the story?
